Solar Panel Fundraising

Our names are Caroline and Claire and we are eighth graders at a small Montessori school in Lexington, Kentucky. Over the last several months, we’ve been researching alternative energy with the hope of implementing it at our school. We've arranged meetings with solar contractors, reviewed proposals and estimates,  and most recently, presented to our school’s board to get solar panels. Both of us are very committed to sustainability, and we’ve worked hard to achieve our goal of getting 50% of our electricity powered by renewable energy. The overall price of the panels is $30,000, but if we can raise 20% ($6,000), then our school, along with outside donors, will make up the rest, and we can get the panels! Please share!
