Give youth an equal chance to play

UPDATE: Now that we accomplished our goal - thanks to all the amazing people who donated - we are helping our neighbouring school, St. Mary's, accomplish their goal as they will be joining us in Ottwa next week for OFSAA. We are all in this together. Special thanks to Mike Rita for coming forward and helping with a free show for anyone who wishes to attend on Monday, June 2, at Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton. The Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton boys soccer team (BMTM Royals) had one major goal this season: to make OFSAA, the Ontario high school championship. On Wednesday, May 28, they accomplished their goal, but a day later they were confronted with a major setback: they were asked to contribute an amount of money that few of our families can afford. Their dream was shattered! Unfortunately, the reminder that money became a roadblock yet again in their lives hit hard. OFSAA, a shortlived reality, became a far-fetched dream. While other schools across the province will be able to enjoy the fruits of their accomplishments, the BMTM Royals are faced with the prospect of disappointment.

Every child deserves an equal chance, and you can help make that happen. Your donation will ensure that the Royals will be able to join the other 19 schools across Ontario who qualified for the championship. Your support will guarantee that these children's dreams become a reality. Your support will ensure that every child will have an equal opportunity to play regardless of their families' financial situation.
