Provide vital health care for the people of Nanyuki, Kenya

Hi my name is Andy Seyfort and I am helping to raise funds to support the amazing work of my friend Frankie Sadler and The Leo Project in Nayuki, Kenya.

Both Frankie and The Leo Project do incredible work to build, grow and run initiatives to improve the mental / physical outcomes of the people of Western Kenya.

I will be visiting Nanyuki and the project in 50 days time (from the time of posting), and in the absence of any medical qualifications / training, I would like to make a financial contribution to the people of Nanyuki's medical bills with the support of my friends and family.

100% of all funds raised will go directly to paying the medical bills of Kenyians in need and I will share an update with all donors on where the money has gone and the impact it has made.

The Leo Project is a community-based healthcare and education organization based in Laikipia County, Kenya.

We are rooted in the belief that equitable access to education and healthcare are basic human rights.

Our education programs equip adolescents and adults with the tools and education they need to lead healthy and empowered lives.

And our Health Clinic provides comprehensive primary care, nutrition, mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and maternal and child healthcare services.

The Leo Project's mental health program provides counselling and treatment services to patients at the clinic, preventative mental health education to a range of community audiences, and capacity-building training for key community stakeholders on mental health.

The Mental Health Team consists of a medical psychologist, a consultant psychiatric nurse, and a child play therapist with specialization in trauma healing for all ages.

Since January 2024, our program has reached 2,941 community members. 109 people have received psychiatric services, 544 have received mental health services and follow-up and 2,288 have received education on mental health.
