We are raising funds for the Canonizado family to provide financial aid as Mark undergoes treatment over the next several months at the Janeway.

The Canonizado family are newcomers to Canada. Eller first moved from the Philippines to Pasadena NL to join Labrador Rewinding in 2022. His wife and 2 sons later joined him in March 2023. In January of this year, the family decided to start a new chapter of their journey and moved to Wabush. Unfortunately, just as they became settled in, their oldest son Mark was airlifted to St. John's by medivac in February where they received the hard news that he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Since then, both Eller & Jenneth have been off work to be by Mark's side while he undergoes treatment. They are anticipating their stay in St. John's to be at least 6-9 months and possibly longer for Mark to complete treatment. He has already undergone several rounds of chemo but still has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

We can only imagine the emotional toll this has taken on the family during this stressful time. Our goal is to provide support to help alleviate some of the financial stress they will have from being away from home and off work so they can focus on what is most important, Mark's recovery.
