Hi everyone, my cousin Ashtin Runions (Braman) and her husband Russell have a baby boy, Weston, who joined us in February. Weston is the sweetest, happiest little boy who has brought his parents and family so much joy.
Unfortunately, I am setting up this go fund me with devastating news. Weston was brought into the Emergency Department on July 4th for fewer wet diapers, poor feeding, and a bloated belly. After multiple tests-it was discovered that Weston has multiple tumors in his belly, liver, lungs, and heart. He went into surgery on July 5 to drain some fluid that was surrounding his heart and obtain a biopsy of the tumor tissue. Weston stayed intubated following the procedure to help with his breathing from all of the pressure in his belly. We are currently waiting for the results of the biopsy to see specifically what kind of cancer this is-which will then guide treatment moving forward.
