Staci and Her Children Need Safe Housing - Please Help

Hello, my name is Kayleigh. Though I’m a Connecticut resident, a piece of my heart will always remain in South Carolina. I met one of my very best friends, Ashley, at USC while we studied for our MSWs together. And in becoming friends with Ashley, I was blessed to be welcomed by the whole Stowell family with open arms, making me truly feel like I had a family and home away from home (Southern hospitality to a tea… make that a sweet tea)! I was devastated to hear how much damage had come to their area during Hurricane Helene, especially to Ashley’s sister, Staci, and her children.

As Hurricane Helene ripped through Aiken, South Carolina, it brought two trees down through the roof of Staci Stowell Weeks’ home. Thankfully she and her three children, Natalee, Jack, and Michael are safe. They were able to leave their home without any physical injuries.

However, the damage done to their rental home and belongings, along with Staci’s car, was significant. They cannot continue living in this house and need to find a new place to live - quickly.

Staci is a single mom, and having her family displaced is an unexpected, emergency expense that she should not have to shoulder alone. As Staci gathers up the remnants of what is salvageable from her family’s home, devastated by the damage and emergency situation by the hurricane, she needs to find a solution for her family’s rental housing.
