Urgent Appeal from Gaza: Help a Family Survive and Rebuild

My name is Ahmed Mazen Hamad, and I’m reaching out to you from Gaza, where my family and I are enduring unimaginable suffering as a result of the ongoing war. What we are living through is not just a conflict it is a full-scale humanitarian crisis.

We live under the constant threat of airstrikes. Fear is part of our daily life. Since the beginning of the assault, we’ve had no electricity and no access to clean water. Food is nearly impossible to find we go hungry every single day. At times, I feel dizzy from hunger and malnutrition.

I was injured by shrapnel in my eye thankfully, it was minor. My brother sustained a more serious injury to his leg. By the mercy of God, we survived. But the suffering continues, especially without access to proper medical care.

This war didn’t just take away our safety, it took away our future.

Before the war, my father worked as a tailor in a clothing factory. But when the power outages became constant, he lost his job. My brother was pursuing his university education, full of hope. He had to stop. I was studying, too, so was my little sister. We were all forced to give up on our dreams because of this crisis.

And yet, we still hold onto hope, hope in God, and hope in the kindness of people like you.
