Hi there!

My name is Vicki Patterson, and I live in South Carolina, USA. For the past 18 months, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with an incredible vendor team based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, through my workplace, Just Energy. These are people I speak with daily — coworkers who have become friends and an essential part of our extended team.

As everyone is aware, Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica last week as a Category 5 storm, leaving unimaginable devastation in its wake. Nearly our entire Jamaican team lives in St. James Parish, including Montego Bay, where homes, communities, and local infrastructure have been severely impacted.

While we’re incredibly grateful that all of our team members are safe, many have lost access to clean drinking water, food, clothing, and other daily necessities. I created this fundraiser to help provide immediate relief to our teammates and their families.

All funds raised will be used specifically to purchase and distribute:

• Clean drinking water

• Non-perishable food items

• Sanitary and hygiene products

• Clothing and basic household items

• Medical and first aid supplies

I will be making weekly withdrawals from this account and sending the funds directly to Mikhail Grey, the on-site director for our campaign in Jamaica, who is coordinating the purchase and distribution of supplies to affected team members and their families.

Every donation — no matter the amount — will directly and immediately help those who are struggling to recover from this devastating disaster.
