Provide Relief for Ahmed and His Family

INTRO

Hello, my name is Brooke Cole and I am creating this Gofundme for the Khudair family. This fundraiser will mainly be used to provide food and shelter for the family while also providing critical medical care to the youngest child, Ahmed. Ahmed has been battling a helminthic (parasitic) infection of the liver as well as gastroenteritis for the last few months and has been in extreme pain.

THEIR STORY

There was previously a Gofundme campaign for Ahmed, but because of the restrictions in Germany and the Central World Bank in which the funds were withdrawn to, Ahmed's cousin Faisal was unable to obtain them. Faisal is one of Ahmed's primary caretakers and has been since the war in Gaza began, and he currently is the main fund-raiser for their entire family. There is a shortage of Ahmed's medicine, which means the prices are very high and causes each dose to cost around 250 USD. This is causing a high level of toxins from his parasitic infection to enter his bloodstream due to the lack of treatment. This new campaign was created to compensate for the loss of funds from the previous fundraising campaign and the deterioration of Ahmed's condition since the beginning of the war. Any previous campaigns for the Khudair family will be transitioned to this one. This fundraising campaign will be used mainly to provide food and shelter for the Khudair family and providing critical medical care for the youngest child Ahmed. Ahmed not only will need treatment for his helminthic infection, but he was recently injured in the recent Israeli air attacks on Khan Yunis and needed stitches in his leg. In case this wound gets infected, it is necessary to have a medical fund for Ahmed to acquire antibiotics/antiseptic agents for his wound as his immune system is already compromised from fighting his liver infection.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED

The funds will be used to provide medicine for both Ahmed's liver infection and wounds sustained from the Khan Yunis attacks. They will also be used to purchase healthy food to help him recover. Currently, the Khudair family is homeless and additional funds will be used to help them to find and afford shelter.

HOW WILL THEY BE SENT?

I have been able to successfully send funds to Faisal, Ahmed's cousin, through PayPal and wire transfer. These same methods will be used to send the money to Faisal who purchases food and medicine for the family.

Currently, I have been one of the only creators making videos for the Khudair family, and it would be wonderful to get some more people on board.
