Every Ramadan, the Royal Holloway Islamic Society comes together to provide free iftars for students and members of the local community. For many, this is the only warm meal they may have that evening. For others, it is a chance to sit with people, feel a sense of belonging, and break fast together away from home.

Running daily iftars throughout Ramadan comes with real costs, and while we fundraise through bake sales and community support, we rely heavily on donations to make this possible. Your contribution, no matter the size, directly helps us continue offering these meals freely and consistently throughout the month.

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ مَنْ فَطَّرَ صَائِمًا كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِ الصَّائِمِ شَيْئًا ‏"‏

Zaid bin Khalid Al-Juhani narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with, then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."
