From a Computer Engineering Student to a Displaced Mother – Our Life Was Turned Upside Down
Before the war, I was a second-year Computer Engineering student, a wife, and a proud mother of two. I was doing well in my studies, managing my home, and raising my children in a safe, warm house.
I had a stable life with my loving family.
My sons, Osama ( 5 years old) and Yousef(, were everything to me.
Osama used to go to nursery every day. He loved learning and playing.
This little boy has been displaced so many times, moving from place to place. In every new area, he quickly makes friends — and then we have to leave again. Each time, his heart breaks a little more. He misses the kids he left behind, and keeps talking about them for days.
Yousef was just 8 months old when the war started. He learned to crawl, speak, and walk during the war — without seeing any of the joys other babies enjoy.
He never tasted fruits.
He doesn't know what chocolate is.
Even basic food is unaffordable now.
Yousef, once a baby with soft, fair skin, now bears the marks of war and displacement on his little face. His skin changed from the sun, dust, and tent life — but his innocence still shines through, in his eyes and his quiet smile. Despite the harsh conditions, he still plays, still laughs.
This is my home before
But now!
We lost everything:
Our home was destroyed.
We lost our source of income.
We’ve been displaced more than 6 times, from the north to the south of Gaza.
For over a year and a half, we’ve lived in tents — suffering from heat, insects, and winter cold.
Life in a tent is not a real life.
It offers no protection from the burning heat of summer or the bitter cold of winter. During the day, it turns into an unbearable oven. At night, it becomes a trap for cold, insects, and dampness.
There’s no privacy, no safety, no electricity, and no clean water.
My children wake up crying—either from the heat or insect bites. My baby, Yousef, is too fragile to handle this life, and each day he grows weaker.

Here’s our situation now:
Milk for Yousef costs $60 every few days
Diapers cost 1800 shekels (~$500) each month
We can’t afford food, clothes, or rent
---
We urgently need support to:
✅ Buy milk and diapers for Yousef
✅ Provide food and basics for our children
✅ Pay rent for a small, safe shelter
✅ Rebuild a dignified life for our family
Your support means survival.
