For years I've been fostering animals and doing trap-neuter-release of feral cats, but in 2023, the resources available are more limited than ever. Programs to spay/neuter adult cats are booked solid for months, and there is no longer support for vet care for kittens found on the street.
Two weeks ago, kids in my neighborhood found a litter of kittens in their crawl space and brought them to my house (I guess they knew I'd help ). I found Mom, who was still nursing, and reunited her with her babies in my house. I've contacted over a dozen shelters and even tried Animal Care & Control, but no one has space or is willing to take them on. So, I'm left with no option but to care for them and adopt them out myself.
Medical care is expensive without the programs we had a few years back. I'm raising funds to ensure these 5 babies (and their mom) can receive medical care and find the loving homes they desire. They need wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, dewormer, parasite tests, and tests for heart worm, leukemia, and FIV, plus of course supplies to last them until they can be safely adopted. I'm using the lowest cost options I can find. Anything you can contribute helps. Thanks so much for your consideration!
