In December, Zoey suffered an unimaginable accident—she fell and her body could not handle the trauma. She suffered an impacted brain bleed and partial stroke which led to severe neurological and physical instability. Her medical needs since December have been overwhelmingly high. The occurrence of Zoey’s catastrophic accident happened out-of-state. This compounded the financial pressure on Zoey and Danielle tremendously. 

Once they arrived home, Zoey needed around-the-clock care and Danielle had to facilitate all of her hospital, therapeutic, and doctor visits. As Zoey’s sole provider, the financial stress that Danielle is facing is unsurmountable and right now she needs to focus on Zoey’s recovery and not financial strain. 

While Zoey has made strides in recovery there are medical expenses and devices that are not covered by insurance that she desperately needs. Her medical team is recommending neuropsychologist support to help Zoey increase her cognitive skills—this is especially important in these initial months after the stroke so the support that Danielle and Zoey need is time-sensitive. NOW is the time to provide as much financial support as possible.
