Hi, my name is Sarah, and I love cats.
EDIT: Please see my update for a cute photo of Tiger at his first vet appointment, and a breakdown of donations and costs so far. Thanks so much!
On a walk through my neighbourhood last Saturday, I noticed a stray cat with a wound above his eye. I took photos and shared them with my neighbours, who posted them to local lost and found cat groups, but nobody has claimed him as theirs. He has a crooked tail, which appears to have broken and healed some time ago, and one of his ears is broken off and black around the break. For the last few days, I've been distracting him with food and applying wound care to his head, but today, I noticed he has another identical wound, this time above his right front leg. We suspect someone may have been shooting him with a BB gun, though the wounds could be from something else.
Working with the neighbours around whose homes he often sleeps, my boyfriend and I have managed to catch him in a cat carrier! He is now safe in our laundry room, with a litter box, a bowl of wet cat food, a bowl of dry cat food, a water dish and a a cat bed. His first vet appointment is scheduled at Zen Cat Clinic on Tuesday morning at 9:30.
This fundraiser is to pay for the vet bills to:
- treat his two wounds
- get his vaccines, which he has likely never received
- treat the ear that looks to be infected
- treat him for fleas, worms, ear mites- whichever parasites he might have
- treat him for feline diseases, so that when he is healed from his vet treatments, he doesn't endanger my 3 other rescue cats
- get him neutered (I noticed he still has his boys)
- pay for his living expenses for the rest of his life, with any additional funds gathered put in a special account to pay for future vet bills and possible feline vet emergencies for Tiger, and our 3 other rescued little loved ones (cat care can be expensive!)
Please help me save this life. I've never created a Go Fund Me before, but this is something I desperately need help with, and can't not try to do.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help.
