Provide Healthy Meals and Care for Sherri

Hi, I’m Brenda. I’m starting this Go Fund Me to help my great friend and family member Sherri. I have known Sherri for almost 35 years and she blessed me with my first 2 nephews Glennie and Christian. Sadly, she lost both of her boys tragically and has endured a lot of other challenges in her life. She was recently diagnosed with rectal cancer and has little to no resources available to her in Aurora, MO. She is 3 hours away from family and friends. Sherri has taken on a significant amount of responsibility and that was her reason for moving there. I have spoke to her about this and if you know Sherri, she does not like to ask for help. My goal is to raise money for extra medical costs, to help set up a “meal train” in her area. All she has near her are fast food restaurants and she needs to be eating healthy. I’m reaching out to the few people she knows in order to be able to provide groceries and supplies so that they can make the meals and pick up her grocery orders. I will be monitoring all funds and will be making sure that they are used for her and the kids. I’m also going to try to find sitters that can come in on the weekends to allow her some rest time. I’m open to suggestions. Her chemo starts this week and it will be aggressive. She will also be getting radiation and have to have surgery. I will be traveling to see her the weekend of 4/11 to deliver meals, do housework and help with the kids. My cousin Christie and Goddaughter Maddi will be going with me. I’m open to suggestions and welcome any advice as this is my first Go Fund Me. I’m on FB as Brenda Harrington although a lot of you may know me as Brenda Cheek. If anyone would like me to deliver anything to her and the kids that weekend of 4/11 please reach out to me so that I can arrange pickup or delivery to me.
