Provide for Maysaa’s Baby and Family

Hello, my name is Ariel Collins and I live in Portland, OR United States. I started this fundraising campaign for Maysaa, a mother of seven, including a newborn that is only 6 days old and her husband

Murad Younis Al-Aqraa. Maysaa is the sister in law of my dear friend Iman. With the crossings closed and no aid entering she is desperate to be able to afford formula and diapers as this is crucial to the survival of her newborn. Please read her words below.

I am Maysaa Afif, 34 years old, a mother of seven children from Gaza, the oldest is 14 years old and the youngest is Ibrahim, 6 days old. We used to live a simple life full of hope, but the war and the bombing took everything from us. Our lives changed completely in one moment because of the war. We lost our loved ones and our security. We are now homeless, without income, struggling to start over, and now I am in dire need of the basics for my children. Food, shelter, and medical care. After the end of 470 days of genocide we were subjected to in Gaza, during which we lived through repeated wars of displacement, starvation, displacement, fear, and bombing at all times. Now with the ceasefire, I only ask for a chance to start a new life to provide a safe environment for my children. To rebuild what we lost, support my children’s education, and help them overcome this crisis.
