Nicholas Pet Care is a sanctuary in Uganda, run by my internet friend Nicholas, who has dedicated his life to caring for animals that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. In Uganda, many animals are left to fend for themselves on the streets, often going without food, water, or shelter. Nicholas saw this need and opened his own shelter, providing a safe haven for dogs and cats who have nowhere else to go. He works tirelessly to make sure every animal receives the love and care they deserve, but the challenges are immense and resources are always stretched thin.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward providing the basic necessities for the animals at Nicholas Pet Care. This includes food to fill empty bowls, clean water to keep them healthy, warm blankets and beds for comfort, and veterinary care for those who are sick or injured. Many of these animals have never known kindness or stability, and your support can help change that. Even a small donation can make a huge difference in the lives of these vulnerable animals, giving them a chance to heal and find hope.

Currently, Nicholas cares for 41 dogs and 23 cats. Every day, the basic needs to care for the animals include:

Food cost: $300 per week for food.

Water: The water bill is $102 per month.

Vaccines and flea/tick prevention: $180 per month.

Rent: $205 per month for rent.

Thanks to the generous help from donors, some vaccinations and flea and tick prevention have started for some of the animals. For now, regular food and shelter are the primary focus. But with time and funds to come, vaccinations for all and spay/neutering will be done.

Nicholas' long-term goal is to purchase the land to establish a permanent and economical shelter. This way, he can help save more animals and provide a long-lasting solution to the need for sanctuary. This would make the expense of paying rent obsolete and allow more funding to go to the care of the animals.

Every animal at Nicholas Pet Care deserves safety, care, and a real chance at a better life.
