Medical Costs for Moodus & East Haddam's Animal Rescues
Donation protected
East Haddam Animal Control and their family of volunteers have been working hard since spring of 2024 and well into the winter of 2025, rescuing local kittens and cats. All rescued kittens and cats are spayed or neutered. With the help of volunteers, many of the cats and kittens are tamed and placed in loving furever homes. Since the spring, well over 30 kittens and cats have been rescued. Unfortunately, not all the kittens and cats that are rescued come from healthy places. Some have come from hoarding situations and colonies. Some were simply left in random mailboxes. All have required veterinary care. Tragically, several kittens passed away this summer from distemper, an easily preventable virus, which runs rampant in feral colonies.
Several businesses in town have been gracious to provide EHAC with monetary donations. However, with the volume of cats and especially kittens, funds have dried up. A GoFundMe page has been set up by volunteers to help with medical costs.
Please consider donating to the East Haddam Animal Control! All money raised is used for medical care and expenses of animals rescued right here in Moodus and East Haddam!
