Help Build A Safe Haven For Azure And Her Dogs

Hi friends,
I’m reaching out today on behalf of someone very dear to me — my friend Azure. Many of you know what a thoughtful, creative, and resilient person she is. Right now, she’s facing an incredibly difficult chapter, and I’m hoping we can come together to offer a bit of support.
While Azure thankfully didn’t lose her home in the recent Southern California fires, the experience left her shaken as it happened within months of Hurricane Katrina’s 20 year anniversary. Another natural disaster where she did lose everything and the reason she moved to CA. Subsequently, she’s been hit by a series of challenges: she recently lost a steady, high-paying job that had her booked out for the entire year — a devastating blow to her financial stability. She’s also being forced to leave her current residence due to an unreasonable and untenable situation with her landlord.
She urgently needs short-term housing so she can stay safe and secure while she regains her footing. Housing is the number one priority right now — along with getting Arlo, her beloved 15-year-old dog, who is battling leukemia, the veterinary care he needs. He’s not just her companion — he’s her family and lifeline. Helping Azure means helping him too.
Despite everything, she’s doing all she can to stay afloat — actively looking for work, picking up odd jobs, and holding on to hope. But without a stable place to stay, even attending interviews becomes incredibly difficult. A few nights in a hotel, guesthouse, or any short-term housing could make all the difference — providing the breathing room she needs to focus, heal, and rebuild. Being able to attain peace and stability for even a little while would mean the world to her right now.
If you’re not in a position to give financially, there are still powerful ways to help. Do you know of any job opportunities? Is there a small space she could rent temporarily? Even a house-sitting opportunity could be a lifeline. She’s not looking for a handout — just a chance to create some peace and stability in the aftermath of an exhausting series of events.
This is a private campaign, shared only with close friends and those who know and care about Azure. If you’re able to give — no matter the amount — it would mean the world. And if you can’t contribute financially, a kind word, a connection, or simply sending love is just as appreciated.
Thank you for being here.
With gratitude,
David
