Many of us feel powerless to take action toward healthy air quality in the Salt Lake Valley. We have a plan and need your help to keep it moving forward.
What is the Salt Lake Valley air quality really doing to our health?
How much impact do we as individuals have? How can supporting this cause directly benefit each and everyone of us?
Through the voice and action of our diverse community, these questions will be answered. We will move from the mountains where we play, to the cities where we work, and finally home, where we assume we are getting the rest we earned and deserve.
Our goal - Create a community supported short film to inform on the effects of the toxic vehicle emissions produced in highly populated environments.
The proposed film will document riders of an electric vehicle ride-share in the Cottonwood Canyons. Rides will include conversations with stakeholders, the affected, and the concerned.
With our proposed daily ride-share schedule, we eliminate 85 cars per day from canyon traffic, preventing 2,361 lbs. of C02 per day.
- About The Vehicles -
- Our mountain vehicle shuttles are our mountain education classroom in motion, serving as an arena for open discussion around health and safety, avalanche awareness, racism, privilege and equality.
- Our biggest goal is to utilize the vehicles for providing mountain transportation to underserved populations.
We think you will want to join this vulnerable journey in finding answers and seeing our community come together.
The Prival team aims to influence public transit to finally begin utilizing emission free vehicles.
Funding from this campaign will go directly toward start-up costs of this film project and beginning to implement The Prival Foundation .
The Prival Foundation offers educational resources to diversify the outdoor industry.
Giving your support is how we can show major sponsors, donors, legislature, and the entire community that we really want to see action in place that creates change - change in our communities on a social, personal, and environmental level.
We hope to have phase one of our project timeline completely funded by ski area opening dates, mid November. See the attached timeline map for details.
