Hello, my name is Stephen May. My wife, Melissa May, mother-in-law, Erma Gardner, and I created this GoFundMe to help raise funds to pay for my father-in-law's funeral/memorial service and medical bills that have created financial hardship.

Ian Mervyn Gardner was born on November 7, 1959, and lived to be 62 years old, passing away on September 13, 2022. He was married to Erma for 40 years. He is survived by his wife Erma and their five children, Melissa, Erika, Katelyn, Nicole, and Seth. He joins his son Jonathan, who passed away on September 8, 2009. Ian died after a long battle with congestive heart failure and lung cancer.

Ian served in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant. As a result of his military service, his burial and gravesite is covered financially. His family is asking for help with other costs associated with the memorial service, repass/reception, and a year's worth of medical bills. Ian did not have life insurance because he couldn't qualify with pre-existing conditions.

Ian loved life, his family, his friends, and his community. He touched the lives of many throughout his life. If Ian, or his family, have touched your life in some way - please consider donating to honor his legacy.
