Roman was one of 14 kids nominated by his teacher Ms. Green to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Pathways to STEM program at the University of Seattle this summer. Roman was nominated for his leadership potential, maturity, self-awareness, empathy, and scholastic merit. At the age of 12, that’s a pretty big deal! When Roman has his mind set to something he does nothing short of putting in the effort to achieve it. By attending this program, Roman will have the chance to attend three separate workshops for future career potential. Such as medicine, engineering, and crime scene investigation. Not only would this make a huge impact on his education, but it will also be an experience he will never forget. With that being said, this also comes with a price. He will be staying on campus at the University of Seattle for 5 nights and 6 days. This will include lodging and meals. The total cost comes to $4000.
