Hello. My name is Larry J. Loofboro, and I go by Lars. I am not someone who asks for assistance when times get tough. I have been through a lot of stressful times since my father passed away. One thing after another has occurred since I moved in with my mother as her caregiver, and then I became sick myself. Although they finally have determined my medication, which is beneficial for the vasculitis, I still struggle with my health. I have tried to remain active in the film industry when I felt good. I know many people think I am an actor in independent film, so I must be doing well financially. Independent filmmaking is more volunteer than most people realize. I have volunteered for over 40 years as an actor in theatre and film. I am wanting to continue my film work in hopes to maybe one day find work as a paid actor, but with my current instability in my health, I need to remain on disability. That being said, I am hoping that there will be a time when my health concerns are more controllable.
Which brings me to my situation. I am having some much-needed car repairs so I can maintain the vehicle to assist my mother with her doctor appointments and daily life. And of course, I would need my vehicle to be more trustworthy when I am traveling to film opportunities. I am very humbled by the fact that I am trusting my vulnerability comes across more as humble rather than desperate. I am just trying to stay afloat during these difficult times. I have always believed in paying it forward, and I hope I have in life enough to see it come back my way when I am struggling financially each month. Thank you all for taking the time to hear me on this and possibly assist with my time of need.
