Protective equipment for Jack

Hi, my name is Jack Goras, and I am passionate about helping the people in Ukraine.

I will be working with a team from Finland. They have years of experience in the armed forces and as combat medics in Ukraine. I am confident about my safety with them, and I would love to document their journey along the way.

I spent two weeks with them in July and am comfortable and trained with them.

I attended Hostile Environment Awareness Training in Brussels in April and obtained the HEAT certification. I understand the risks and how to navigate hostile regions.

I will spend another 2-3 weeks in the fall, and I am in need of some more protective equipment. I’m headed back to Ukraine November 14th-30th, and I am in need of some protective equipment. 

I’ll be continuing to write a story about Finnish volunteer medics who are there by choice. I believe their story should be heard and seen. 

I am self-funded, and I would be attempting to sell the article to different news outlets in hopes of getting it published. Media outlets do not hire because of the liability and usually only buy after it is produced. 

I have been to Ukraine twice already and usually borrow equipment that is usually inadequate for war. I believe bringing my own gear would be so much safer. I attended Hostile Environment Awareness Training in Brussels in April and obtained the HEAT certification. This transmitter is used to give friends and family my location at all times and be able to send text messages letting them know I am doing okay.
