I am asking for support for my son, Jaxon, who is profoundly autistic and completely nonverbal. He experiences the world in ways that can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate, and my greatest priority is keeping him safe while helping him feel as comfortable and supported as possible.
Recently, his needs have become more urgent. He struggles with self-injurious behaviors, including biting himself, picking at his skin, and most recently, picking at his teeth as new molars come in. He also has moments of aggression toward others—not out of intent, but because he cannot communicate his discomfort, pain, or frustration in words.
I am working hard to manage and redirect these behaviors with care, patience, and professional guidance. However, he now needs additional protective equipment to help prevent injury and give him a safer way to move through these challenges.
I am hoping to raise funds for:
- A protective helmet with a face guard, which will help prevent him from biting himself and others, as well as protect him from injury during moments of distress.
- Arm sleeves/gloves, designed to reduce skin picking and allow his body time to heal.
These items are not just equipment, they are tools that will help protect his health, reduce harm, and give me peace of mind as I care for him day to day.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping me provide a safer and more supportive environment for Jaxon. If you are unable to give, sharing his story would mean just as much.
