We - Uyen Nguyen and Gildas Cheung - are two community members living in King County, Washington, the first epicenter region of COVID-19 outbreak in the United States. We became frustrated with watching our medical frontline team work without proper protective equipment (PPE) so we took the issue into our own hands. 

We are partnering with International Community Health Services (https://www.ichs.com/), a 501c(3) non-profit based in Seattle, to procure and distribute PPE. Our first goal is to purchase and distribute 20,000 3-layer surgical masks to local hospitals and community health centers that are critically low in PPE supplies. This initial cost is $16,000. We have initiated shipment for these masks and have guaranteed payment because time is of the essence in this fight against COVID-19. But we need your help to 1) cover the cost, and 2) help us raise additional funds so that we can procure more PPE.  Our medical team need us now more than ever to protect them - so that they can protect us. 

We initiated shipment for the 20,000 masks on March 20. We will provide updates here regarding shipment arrival and distribution.
