Hi, I’m Abdessamii Mehl. Early 2025 I worked as a Service Supervisor via an agency at NHS hospitals . After I raised concerns about safety and fair treatment, I was notified that two grievances had been made about me and told an investigation would follow .
Instead of support, my hours dropped to zero and I was told not to return. When I asked who decided this and why, I was told it was because I was “agency” and “no longer required”. I received no written reason or appeal route.
Weeks later, the HR Director said my case would be reviewed under the Whistle-blowing process by an external investigator, and asked me to liaise only with one HR contact. Despite that, I still don’t have the documents I need (SAR) or clear answers. The uncertainty has devastated my finances, mental health, and immigration position as my Graduate Route visa ends in November 2025.
I’m raising funds to:
1. Pay for legal advice/representation to pursue my Employment Tribunal claims and obtain disclosure.
2. Cover essentials (rent/food/bills) while I’m unable to work because of the dispute.
3. Immigration advice to protect my status as my visa expiry approaches.
How this helps others: I raised concerns to protect patients and staff and to improve standards. Standing up should not mean losing your livelihood. Your support lets me keep going lawfully, safely and transparently.
