During this time of war, when our soldiers are defending the Jewish people with mesirus nefesh every single day, my wife Shternie and I feel a deep responsibility to act.

Over the past year and a half, we have had the privilege of hosting foreign lone soldiers in our home for meals. They sit at our table. They share their stories. They are far from their families — and they have become like family to us.

We are looking for sponsors to help cover the costs to check mezuzahs & tefillin of the group of lone soldiers who regulary eat by us, as well as replace posul mezuzahs.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe spoke strongly about the power of kosher mezuzahs as spiritual protection — particularly for the security of the Jewish people and for soldiers defending Eretz Yisrael. He repeatedly encouraged checking mezuzahs and tefillin to ensure they are fully kosher, explaining that this brings blessing and protection.

Right now, our soldiers need that protection more than ever.

Recently, we arranged for a lone soldier’s mezuzahs to be checked. The results were eye-opening:

Three mezuzahs were completely posul beyond repair.

One was only usable b’dieved after repair.

He had no idea.

These are young men and women who left their families and home countries to serve Am Yisrael. They protect us physically. We want to make sure they are protected spiritually.

This campaign will directly cover:

$10 – Checking one mezuzah (around 100 mezuzas)

$85 – Checking a pair of tefillin (around 70 pairs to be checked)

$100 – Replacing a posul mezuzah

Every dollar raised will go toward checking and replacing mezuzahs and tefillin for the lone soldiers connected to our home during this critical time.

No soldier defending our people should have to worry about whether their mezuzah or tefillin are kosher.
