I’m starting this fundraiser to protect my family home. My brother and I helped my father build onto this home, so it means so much more than just a place to live. Sadly, my brother is going through a very difficult time. His health has been declining, and that has put a heavy strain on all of us. I’m also a kidney recipient, so this season has been especially taxing physically, emotionally, and financially. On top of that, we’ve had to deal with major repairs to the roof and siding that insurance would not cover. It is hard for me to ask for help, but right now we are carrying more than we can manage on our own.

The funds from this fundraiser will help us pay down or pay off the roof and siding repairs, and they will also help me continue getting my brother to his medical appointments, which can happen every other day. Because those trips and related costs continue so often, recurring donations would make a real difference by helping me keep up with that ongoing support while also trying to protect our home. One-time donations would also mean so much and help take some pressure off right away.
