Protecting Hope for Trinity
Donation protected
Trinity is a vibrant young woman who recently graduated from Mount Si. Earlier this year she had a tumor removed only to learn that it was cancerous. Unfortunately, the cells present were that of a highly aggressive and rare cancer known as Ewing Sarcoma. Though the tumor was removed and no real evidence of the cancer remained, a second PET scan was performed to verify lack of presence. Again, in a very short amount of time, new tumors have presented and are growing quickly.
Trinity and her family have decided to proceed with chemo and radiation, but the radiation will be focused in her reproductive region. The doctors at Children's Hospital in Seattle have highly recommended Trinity have her eggs harvested as there is a good chance that her ovaries and uterus will be damaged, leaving her with varying degrees of lesser opportunity to have children at a later date.
Only 18 years old, this is a huge decision for Trinity. She will be starting therapy immediately. Hopefully, over the next two weeks, her eggs will be ready to harvest, and then chemo treatments will also be initiated. However, the expenses for egg harvesting and freezing are not covered by medical insurance. Funds raised from this gofundme will be used to cover the expenses of this treatment, costs associated with Trinity's medical appointments and care, and other needs as they arise.
Additionally, we welcome any prayer and support our friends and family are able to give. We are encouraged by our Lord and Savior and we know that "with man this is impossible, but with God, ALL THINGS are possible."
