Over the past three years, Melanie and Martin have worked to re-wild and regenerate a section of Separation Creek at this unique property on Old Ocean Road on Victoria's iconic Great Ocean Road . This passion project of indigenous and native planting, creek restoration, and volunteer hours, has slowly transformed into a thriving natural habitat. Supporting local wildlife and becoming a peaceful space enjoyed by both the family and the wider community.

In 2024, members of the local Wye 2 Wongara (W2W) community came together to further regenerate parts of the creek and surrounding bushland with indigenous plants sourced and grown by Otway Greening and planted as seed stock, strengthening the health of the waterway and ecosystem.

Recent flooding has caused catastrophic damage to this section of the creek and surrounding vegetation, undoing all of that work and impacting all of the revegetated area . Many people who care about this place are feeling the loss of this amazing community project.

This fundraiser has been set up to support additional regeneration efforts for this section of Separation Creek, including replanting indigenous and native planting , stabilising the creek bank, and working alongside local experts and community members to help the land recover.

All funds raised will go directly toward practical regeneration work and materials to support the long-term healing of this place.
