Help Launch From Threat to Thrive: A Life-Saving Nonprofit Born from a Parody — Proven to Work
Turning Online Danger Into Real-World Protection
What If a Joke Website Could Actually Save Lives?
It did.
Since 2010, RentAH*tman.com, a legal parody website originally launched as an IT security startup, has become one of the most bizarre yet powerful tools in the fight against violent crime.
Over the past 15 years, it has helped:
✅ Prevent 200+ real-world crimes, including m*rder-for-hire plots
✅ Intercept school sh**ting threats and domestic violence cases
✅ Expose child abuse, human trafficking, and exploitation attempts
✅ Identify suicide threats and mental health crises
✅ Collaborate with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement
Featured by CNN, Rolling Stone, DOJ press releases, People Magazine, WaPo, and more, the site has built a proven track record of saving lives and holding dangerous individuals accountable.
But now, it’s time to go even further.
Introducing: From Threat to Thrive
From Threat to Thrive is a new nonprofit formed by Bob Innes, creator of Rent-A-H*tman, to formalize and expand this mission into a full-time, national public safety initiative.
Our work focuses on:
✅ Online safety education for youth and adults
✅ Suicide prevention and mental health crisis intervention
✅ Victim advocacy and protection
✅ Cooperative crime prevention with law enforcement
✅ Legislative reform and awareness campaigns
We’ve done the hard part: proving this works. Now we need your help to build the nonprofit infrastructure that will take this mission to the next level.
Our Goal: $100,000
We're raising $100K to fund:
✅ Saving our home/office (currently in foreclosure)
✅ IRS Form 1023 filing and legal fees for 501(c)(3) status
✅ Secure tech infrastructure and crisis response tools
✅ Launch education programs and school outreach
✅ Hire future staff and build community partnerships
✅ Produce public safety PSAs and TV/film content currently in development
Registered & In Progress: Nonprofit Status
✅ From Threat to Thrive is officially registered with the State of California as a nonprofit corporation.
✅ We are currently awaiting federal 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.
Important Note:
Once approved, our tax-exempt status may apply retroactively, making eligible donations tax-deductible from the date of formation. We will notify all donors once this status is granted.
In the meantime, your support is absolutely critical to helping us launch and sustain this life-saving mission.
Looking to Collaborate? Let’s Talk.
We are actively seeking:
✅ Collaborators – educators, safety advocates, mental health orgs

From the Founder:
“People still submit real threats every day—because the bad guys don’t read the news. This mission works. It’s saved lives. And now, I need your help... so we can help others.”
