Save American Hemp & Cannabis Genetics — Before November 12, 2026
A law already on the books will lock American breeders, farmers, and patients out of diverse hemp and cannabis genetics unless we stop it from taking effect.
On November 12, 2026, federal legislation is scheduled to come into force that will severely restrict access to the genetic material the entire industry depends on. The damage to breeders, farmers, medical growers, researchers, and patients will be immediate and very hard to reverse. We have a narrow window to challenge it, expose its flaws, and push for repeal before that deadline closes.
Who We Are
We are the American Seed Innovation and Growth Alliance (ASIGA), a nationwide coalition of breeders, farmers, medical-sector stakeholders, researchers, and industry professionals. We are not a corporation, lobbying firm, or political body. We are the people who will be directly affected, working together because none of us can confront this alone.
Our shared mission: protect genetic diversity, scientific progress, and America's ability to lead the global hemp and cannabis seed market.
What's at Stake
If the November 12 law takes effect, it will restrict access to essential genetic material, undermine breeding innovation and new cultivar development, damage legitimate operators and push activity underground, reduce consumer and patient safety, destroy jobs and investment across the supply chain, and hand global leadership in hemp and cannabis genetics to Europe, Latin America, and emerging Asian markets.
The United States has the science, the agricultural infrastructure, and the entrepreneurial base to lead this industry for the next decade. This law would foreclose that future before it begins.
What Your Donation Will Fund
Every dollar raised goes directly to the fight: legal analysis, statutory interpretation, and repeal strategy; lobbying and direct legislative engagement; public communications and rapid-response work; expert reports and economic impact assessments; and coalition coordination.
Full Transparency
All funds are held in our attorney's client trust account and disbursed only for documented coalition activity. We will post regular updates so every donor can see exactly where their contribution goes and what progress we are making.
Why Now
This deadline is not hypothetical. Every week between now and November 12 is one less week to mount a credible legal and legislative response. After November 12, the damage compounds and reversing it becomes far harder than preventing it.
