Protect the Only Loving Home They've Ever Known

Two young children with serious medical needs have already faced more adversity than most do in a lifetime. Both were exposed to substances and suffered severe neglect at the hands of their biological parents, who are unable to provide the safe, stable environment they need to thrive.

Thankfully, they found refuge with selfless caregivers who stepped in out of love and compassion, not obligation. Though not biologically or legally tied to the children, these caregivers have opened their hearts and home completely, offering the nurturing care the children desperately needed.

Since entering this safe and stable environment, both children have made remarkable progress. The oldest, just two years old, now attends preschool and is thriving in ways no one thought possible. But if he is removed from this loving home, he’s at serious risk of regressing and losing the developmental gains he’s fought so hard to achieve.

These caregivers aren’t just providing temporary care, they want to adopt the children and make them a permanent part of their family. They are committed to giving them the security, love, and stability they deserve. Not just for now, but for life.

Unfortunately, the legal system doesn’t always prioritize the best interests of the child. To secure permanent custody and fight against a return to an unsafe and unstable situation, the caregivers must hire private legal counsel, and all legal fees must be paid out of pocket.
