Protect 2 beautiful kids from abuse
We are trying to raise funds to help my sister Dannielle LoVerde Dunlap get her 6 and 7 year old children back and protect them from her alcoholic and abusive ex husband. He took them on March 11, 2017 and she hasn't seen or heard from them since. She doesn't even know for sure where he's taken them.

HOW THIS ALL STARTED
When her daughter, was just two years old she began making statements that indicated to my sister that she was being sexually abused by her father. My sister was horrified and wanted to believe she somehow misunderstood but as time went on there were other red flags and warning signs that came not only from her daughter but also from her son as well. As this all unfolded and my sister started to dig for answers she found that this wasn’t the first time he was accused of molestation or abuse of his own family members. She found that he had been accused by quite a few different family members in the past. Somehow he always seems to be able to manipulate the system and or flee from the state where the crime was committed to evade the consequences. He was accused of and charged with rape in 1997 but the victim didn’t pursue the charges since he had moved out of state. His ex sister in law from a previous marriage (aged 14 at the time) also accused him of molestation. Again, legal action wasn’t pursued because the victim was too emotionally distraught to face her attacker in court. He had again fled the state to evade the authorities so the victims' parents were just glad he was gone and didn’t want to put their daughter through any more emotional turmoil.
While married to him, my sister put up with his alcoholism and daily addiction to perscription pain pills but in 2013, when it became evident that her children were being harmed, that was the final straw. She separated from him to protect them and started the divorce proceedings.

She was finally able to divorce him in 2015. This was a very difficult process as he was unwilling to cooperate and also because she had inadequate legal representation due to lack of funds. My sister has taken her children to be evaluated by various doctors and agencies since then and they have all agreed that there is evidence of abuse by the father but no one has been willing to rule it as conclusive or substantial enough for a conviction.
THE TRUTH STARTS TO BE REVEALED
Last summer one of the kids opened up to their oldest brother (who was 15 at the time) and told him explicit details of the abuse by their father which I will not share due to the disturbing nature of what was described.
EFFORTS TO PROTECT THEM
My sister has been trying to deal with this situation legally by calling the police as well as having DHR and sexual abuse advocacy centers counsel her children. As recent as a few weeks ago they were working to encourage them to open up to the authorities with more details. They were having some success but they hadn’t obtained enough evidence to complete the investigation.
THE HORROR BEGINS
Meanwhile, my sisters' ex husband (who has refused to pay court mandated child support) was somehow able to get the court system to give him custody of the children from out of state.
They were ripped from their home and their mothers arms by the Sheriff on March 11, 2017 at 7:30 PM and given to their father whom they hadn't seen or heard from in a year. She has not been able to see them nor has she even been given the right to talk to them since that time. She's absolutely distraught and sick with worry. We are all desperate to know they're safe and are trying everything we can to legally get them back. She has hired an attorney to fight for the rights of her children and is trying to make sure they can be protected.
Dannielle is a very resourceful and hard working woman. Now she's faced with mounting legal costs to not only get the children back but to protect them from any future abuse. The initial legal fees to start fighting this case have been paid for but due to her ex husbands prior unwillingness to comply with court orders and lack of cooperation in showing up for scheduled hearings, we fear the legal fees will continue to mount.
WHAT WE ARE ASKING
He's taken the kids out of state and it's now necessary to have legal representation by attorneys in two states.
At this time we're asking for $8000 to help towards these legal costs. Any financial help you could offer would be greatly appreciated and put to good use. Above all, we ask for your prayers to our heavenly father to keep the kids safe and sound until they can be returned to their mother.
