Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,
We have launched the Global Campaign to Protect the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (EOTC) to raise international awareness and mobilize support in response to reports of violence, killings, persecution, attacks on churches and monasteries, and threats facing Ethiopian Orthodox Christians and their sacred institutions.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is one of the world's oldest Christian institutions, with a history and spiritual heritage spanning nearly two millennia. Today, many members of the Church and their communities are facing an urgent humanitarian and religious-freedom crisis.
We ask you to watch our campaign video, share it widely, and contribute to this important effort.
How Your Donation Will Help
Funds raised through this campaign will support:
• Production and distribution of educational and advocacy videos documenting the challenges facing the EOTC and its faithful.
• Public awareness and media outreach to bring greater international attention to the crisis.
• Engagement of experienced lobbying, advocacy, and public relations professionals.
• Outreach to the U.S. Congress, European Union, United Nations, African Union, and other international institutions.
• Engagement with international human rights, humanitarian, and religious-freedom organizations.
• Advocacy for accountability, protection of civilians, and the preservation of churches, monasteries, clergy, congregations, and other sacred institutions.
• Establish a Diaspora Secretariat
Our Mission
Our mission is urgent: to help stop the violence and persecution of Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, protect the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and its sacred institutions, demand accountability for abuses, and encourage the international community to act.
Silence allows suffering to remain unseen. By bringing these stories to policymakers, human rights organizations, religious leaders, the media, and the international community, we hope to give a stronger voice to those who cannot safely speak for themselves.
