A Mother's Day Plea: Help My Son Save His Home

My name is Talicia Parker, and this Mother’s Day, I’m asking for more than flowers or cards—I’m asking for compassion, generosity, and a chance to protect my son’s future.

My son, who's now 22 years old, recently inherited a property, a cherished family home and commercial property that has been in our family for 33 years. He returned home to me, trusting the bank’s promise to refinance his ARM loan. But the bank did not honor its word.

Now, because of the terms of this loan, the bank has the power to demand full payment of the debt—$250,000—in just 30 days or take the property. This is not about missed payments—we have fought to keep it afloat. But unless we raise $250,000 in time, my son will lose the home that his father left for him, a home worth far more than the amount being demanded.
