Protect Peatmoor Lagoon – Support Peatmoor Angling Club

Hello, we are Peatmoor Angling Club, a group of local anglers and nature enthusiasts who care deeply about the health and future of Peatmoor lagoon.

We are raising funds to purchase a Neptune Rake, a specialist piece of equipment designed to safely and effectively remove invasive weed growth from the lake. Over time, excessive weed growth will reduce fish stocks, has restricted fishing areas, and harmed the overall balance of the ecosystem. Without action, the lake risks becoming less accessible for anglers, less enjoyable for visitors, and less hospitable for wildlife.

A Neptune Rake will allow us to:

Improve fish habitats by clearing space for healthier water flow and oxygen levels.

Enhance biodiversity by supporting a wider range of plants, insects, and birds.

Protect angling access so members and visitors can continue to enjoy fishing.

Create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming space for walkers, families, and the wider community who use the lake for recreation and relaxation.

Support environmental education by offering a healthier environment for schools, youth groups, and nature lovers to explore and learn from.

All funds raised will go directly toward the purchase of the Neptune Rake and any associated costs for its use and upkeep.
