Pachamama Sanctuary is a small, independent church in Casco, Maine. People from all walks of life come here to pray, rest, reflect and find their footing again. Many arrive carrying grief, burnout, or a sense of being lost. They leave more grounded, more connected to themselves, and part of a community rooted in love and acceptance.
Right now our future in Casco depends on a land use process with the Town. We have submitted an application to continue as a small, quiet place of worship, and we are working toward an agreement. We want to be good neighbors.
That process carries real legal costs, and they have arrived at the hardest time of year for a small church.
How your gift will be used
First, legal counsel for the Town application and the proceedings related to it. Anything raised beyond our legal costs will keep the Sanctuary operating through the winter months.
Our goal is $25,000 by October 24.
Ways to give
Every gift, whatever the size, puts your name in our prayer book, which we keep on one of our altars. You will be held there by name.
This fundraiser is organized by Derek Januszewski, Founding Pastor of Pachamama Sanctuary. All funds are transferred directly to the bank account of Pachamama Sanctuary, a Maine nonprofit church corporation, and are used only for the purposes above. We are not able to give tax advice, and gifts through this page should not be treated as tax deductible contributions. Please speak with your own advisor about your situation. We will post updates here as the process moves forward.
Every gift helps, whatever the size. If you cannot give today, sharing this page helps just as much. And if you have spent time with us, we would be glad to hear what it meant to you.
Blessings,
Pastor Derek Januszewski and the Pachamama Sanctuary community
