Hello everyone,

My name is Kayla Green, daughter of Nicole Mabon-Brewer, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life. I struggled with creating this go fund me but it was literally my last resort due to how urgent this situation is. My beloved mother lost her life as many know, and while her death is still under investigation, I am now facing an exhausting legal battle while still trying to grieve and find peace. I cannot say much about the case or the situation but I will say what I can for better understanding.

I was granted Personal Representative over my mother’s estate; went to court because someone tried to remove me, and I won it back over. Since her passing, we have been denied access to her home — our childhood home — even before she was laid to rest. Locks and the alarm code were changed shortly after we laid my mother to rest. We were denied access prior to the funeral as well and completely shut out from everything that belonged to our mother — her personal items, clothing, photos, and all the memories that mean the world to us. We (Me and my sister) don’t understand why we aren’t allowed to simply enter our mother’s home which we had keys to.

Every attempt we’ve made to visit or access the home we’ve been met with confusion, heartbreak, and disappointment. We are having to fight with intense opposition to be able to simply have anything me and my siblings could possibly inherit from our mother which would ultimately leave us with nothing.

What should be a time of mourning has turned into a heartbreaking fight while we also fight for justice as well. I am simply trying to honor my mother’s memory, protect what she left behind, and simply have something to hold on to. Just being able to smell her scent on any clothing item at-least would make our days brighter!

We are asking for help to raise $7276 for current court costs, legal fees, and related expenses needed to continue this ongoing fight. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to justice and helps us protect my mother’s legacy.
