BC Animals Rights Hub is a society dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of wildlife, while fostering a community where humans and animals can coexist. We begin our work by fundraising. This is a personal cause for me. While volunteering at a vet clinic, a person brought in an injured pigeon. It became clear that while vets are allowed to provide emergency care or peacefully euthanize them, providing this care isn't always financially viable for them, which creates a significant barrier to treatment. The experience started our mission to launch a movement to support veterinary emergency care for injured wildlife. Through fundraising and community partnerships, we'll provide financial assistance to clinics and rehabilitation centers, ensuring hurt wildlife get the care they need without putting an undue financial burden on those who save them. Looking ahead, we plan to expand our efforts to provide food and shelter to animals in need, uniting a passionate community and building a robust network of support for all creatures. Our core mission is to protect animals in the blind spot—those that are abused, neglected, or ignored—and to spread awareness of their plight. We believe that a compassionate community protects all its inhabitants.
