Protect Kambo Frog in Amazon Rainforest!

Who are we?

We are the Kambowasi Project, located in Loreto Jenera Herrera, a 45 hectare farm in the beautiful Amazon rainforest of Peru. We protect and nurture the preservation of the sacred Kambo frog. The project is run by Eliazar, our trusted steward who has dedicated himself to the cause.

Our mission!

To help preserve the sacred Kambo frog by creating a safe environment for the Kambo frog to live undisturbed, in turn increasing the population and ensuring that the medicine will be available in the future. This is a resin that can be extracted from the Kambo frog and used for healing for all diseases.

The project!

Eliazar and his family selflessly protect and nurture the endangered frog species, working tirelessly day and night to ward off poachers and maintain the vast terrain of the jungle. They have created a safe haven for the Kambo, seeing the huge increase in its population in the years of their stewardship.

After a recent storm in the middle of monsoon season, the roof broke off the main building structure, the only dry place for Eliazar and his family to sleep.

Which is why we need your help!

We are so grateful for any support for Eliazar to continue to protect and preserve the Kambo.

By the numbers (€15,000);

For help to restore the main building structure of the project in total we need $5,000 which includes; €3,500 for materials of the roof replacement & €1,500 for workers

We ask for help with the yearly salary for the main guardian of the space so he can continue to support his family and the project. This includes €6,000 in total, €500 per month.

We aim to restore the more building structures that will enable people to come visit for a yearly experience with Kambo in its natural habitat which is budgeted for €4,000 in total, including; €1,000 for the yearly maintenance for tools & repairs & €3,000 for the investment in infrastructure for group visits.

Please note: the total amount we're raising in this campaign doesn't just allow us to restore the main housing for the guardian. It also gives us a management budget for the next year of ownership, ensuring that we have continued protection of the Kambo frog for further repopulation of this species. Which has been a proven success in the years of our stewardship. Which means you can rest assured that your contribution will allow not only the continued survival of this animal but also for the careful management of the natural habit around this region of the Amazon rainforest, with further reforestation efforts for the years to come.
