Protect Intellectual Freedom: Replace Stolen Library Books

Over 400 dollars worth of books have been stolen from the Shelby County Public Library in Shelbyville, Kentucky, by members of a local church. The pastors of the Reformation Church in Shelbyville have encouraged their congregation to check out LGBTQ+ related books and never return them. Under these instructions, 16 books have been taken. This encouragement stands in direct defiance of the tenements of their own religion (Exodus 20:15 'Thou shalt not steal"). This crime prevents other Shelbyville residents from exercising their own intellectual freedoms and right to learn about topics that interest them.

Help the Shelby County Public Library today by donating to cover the cost of replacement for these stolen titles. When this campaign is complete, the money will be donated directly to the library with receipt proof provided on social media .
