Fresh Start and Rebuild
On February 10th, our day started out normal. My husband Tom went to work and I stayed with our 4 kids at home, as usual. I woke up in the middle of the night to realize that Tom wasn’t home. Worried I tried calling and texting. No answer. I received a text at 7:30 the next morning stating he had to intentions of ever coming home again. Obviously at first heartbroken and shaken, I gave him space thinking he’d come around. When he did eventually start coming around, it has been super passive aggressively. He always times it for bedtime to disrupt the schedule and throw a wrench in the night. He watches the house from our second drive. Drives by slowly. Watches through the porch windows until I answer the door. The worst part? He controls all money. The vehicles are in his name. Everything is in his name. I wouldn’t even be able to get on to our Verizon account if needed. The kids and I are his mercy and he knows it.
This has been a vicious cycle for years. Should I have left sooner? Yes. But unless you’ve been here it’s so hard to understand.
I need help. We need help. To stay strong. To keep us in our home. To keep the wind in my sails. I appreciate any thoughts and or prayers. Sunnier days are ahead!
