Prosthesis for Kathi

Hello Everyone! My name is Kellie Venturini I am here to ask for your help for my sister Kathi.  My sister has scleroderma, for those of you who don’t know what that is it’s a chronic connective tissue autoimmune disease. She has had this most of her life however in the last few years it has gotten worse. She went on permanent disability about 15 years ago. About a year ago she developed blood clots in her leg that cut off the blood supply to her foot which caused gangrene. She lived with this rotting foot for almost a year. Spent her days in a pain filled drug induced stupor until the foot finally became infected and had to be removed almost to her knee. I am happy to say that now that her foot is off she has a much better quality of life which will be even greater improved once she can get a prosthetic leg.

          I am asking for your help in paying for her medical bills and the prosthesis. Her disability checks are peanuts. She had to move in with our parents when her daughter turned 18 and she stopped receiving child support.  We don’t know how much the prosthesis will cost but already her medical bills are more than she can handle. Her doctors believe she will be ready to be fitted for the prosthetic by Christimas.

          Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated! She does not know I am doing this for her. She is the type of person who doesn’t like to ask for help. She is the type of person who will give you her last penny if you needed it. So I am asking for her and will beg for forgiveness later…Thank you!
