We’re Prompt Productions, a brand-new theatre company based right in the Heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne — and we’re on a mission to create Bold, Exciting, Original work that celebrate local voices and tell stories rooted in the North East.

Theatre has a unique power to bring people together, to make us laugh, think, and connect. At Prompt, we believe our city deserves Theatre/ screen productions that reflects its people — full of humour, heart, and honesty. We want to create shows that spark conversations, champion local talent, and fill Newcastle with creativity and pride.

Our First show “Mackem in GeordieLand”

We’re thrilled to announce that our debut show, Circulate – “Mackem in GeordieLand”, will premiere in Early November 2025. It’s an original piece that celebrates the quirks, tensions, and shared love between our cities — a hilarious story about identity, belonging, and what it really means to call somewhere home.

This production marks the start of our journey — a chance to showcase what Prompt is all about.

What Comes Next: Live Across Newcastle

Following our first show, we’re launching Live Across Newcastle Projects in March 2026 — a series of community-driven performances taking place across the city.
These projects will connect artists, audiences, and local venues.
