Why the Changemakers' Workshop?

Through our first-ever paradigm-shifting workshop in 2019, we encountered youth who longed for change but lacked the resources and skills needed. Since 2019, we have facilitated three workshops (held bi-annually) that directly groomed over 57 entrepreneurs from 12 high schools in Liberia and indirectly spread our message of empowerment to more than 1,200 high school students through various awareness campaigns. Furthermore, we have provided over 284,500 Liberian Dollars in microgrants to fund 11 businesses to help transform the social problems they are stagnated by into businesses that fuel their local economies. As a result, the youth can utilize their innovative skills to aid in the reconstruction of our nation.

For the workshop's fourth anniversary, we aim to continue this legacy that educates the youth on the significance of self-sustainability and creates a platform to facilitate the changemaking process. The workshop covers paradigm-shifting topics such as entrepreneurship, money management, youth empowerment/advocacy, volunteerism, etc.

We hope the youth will walk away from our workshop, understanding their responsibility in society and their collective role in rebuilding a productive Liberia. The workshop is scheduled to commence for three days in mid-2025. Unlike previous workshops, our 2025 workshop will empower students from 12 high schools throughout Liberia, directly impacting 36 future leaders.

How will the funds be used:

1. To provide microgrants to the three winners of our Business Plan Competition

2. To transport the participants to and from the venue

3. To provide participants with refreshments throughout the workshop
