Now in its 16th year, Prom Day is a pop‑up prom boutique created by Assistance League® of Los Angeles. In partnership with LAUSD’s Homeless Education Office, the event is designed to restore dignity, confidence, and choice for high school seniors experiencing homelessness.
On Wednesday, March 25, students will be welcomed to the Emerson Los Angeles campus and invited to select everything they need for prom—a dress, shoes, accessories, beauty items, and more—completely free of charge. Students are invited to shop the racks and choose from new items, creating a purely celebratory experience at a defining milestone moment.
This is where you come in - we have a $20,000 gap for this year's event as we move to a larger venue and serve 30% more students than last year. Your help ensures every student leaves feeling seen, celebrated, and worthy of joy. Can you help with a donation?
Here's how your support can make an impact:
- $250 - A gorgeous Prom Dress that celebrates her sense of self
- $100 - A Wrap and a Handbag to accent the look
- $75 - A pair of Heels to walk in confidence
- $50 - Accessories for pops of color
Your gift helps restore choice and identity by allowing students to select styles that reflect who they are—not what they can afford—and create an atmosphere of belonging and celebration, ensuring students feel included in a rite of passage many feared they would miss.
