My dad passed away in August 2024 from heart failure, having battled cardiomyopathy for several years. Thanks to the pacemaker and defibrillator in his heart, he was able to live for an additional 10 years—time that meant everything to our family. In his memory, I will be running my first-ever half (The Big Half) London marathon in September 7th 2025 to raise funds for Access Heart Foundation Nigeria and support people affected by heart disease, by providing them free access to medical care.

Beyond fundraising, I have set a goal to purchase 50 defibrillators from the British Heart Foundation, each costing £750, to send to Access Heart Foundation Nigeria. Each defibrillator can save both an adult and a child, providing life-saving intervention in emergencies where access to medical care is limited.

I will be documenting my training and preparation for the marathon to raise awareness and inspire others to take action. Any donation, contribution, or even sharing this cause with someone can make a difference.
