Many LGBT refugees living in Kenya where homosexuality is illegal are facing verbal, physical, sexual abuse, stigma and discrimination, homelessness, challenges in accessing proper sexual health services and shortage of food due to lack of employment opportunities. As COVID-19 sweeps the world, hundreds of thousands of people have contracted the virus, and every community has been affected. LGBT refugees are particularly vulnerable facing unique challenges due to its economic and health care situations where by are living below the poverty line and lack access to proper medical care, and basic necessities during the pandemic.
We kindly request for your support to run our safe house in order to meet these needs and be able to pay bills as we're looking forward to being self sufficient. If you can't give, but still want to support our cause, please share our link with your friends, family members and coworkers. With more people aware of our cause, we'll be one step closer to reaching our goal.
